My own child with autism is now 24 and functioning independently, paying rent, holding a long-lasting job, and going to college for a degree in chemistry. Twenty-three years ago, I recognized subtle differences in my child's development beginning at the age 4 months old, and from that moment on, I became my child's best advocate and began teaching them to advocate for their-self. I want to help parents recognize early signs of non-neurotypical behavior, so they too can become their child’s best advocate, passing that advocacy on to their children.
Parenting is tough, and you've been working hard. Things aren't quite going well, and you're ready for change. Perhaps you're doing this on your own and you need some guidance, or perhaps you have a team of experts helping your child, each prescribing you and your child different methods, tasks, and homework at each place. Either way, you need help.
At home, your child feels comfortable enough to be themself, sometimes this means fun, sometimes it means meltdowns, and sometimes you're just moving from crisis to crisis. When you work with therapists they send you out with homework, and when you're working with many different therapists, the homework can feel like way too much. You need help putting it all together in a way that works for you and in a way that your child doesn't resist. I can help you do that while creating a calm and peaceful home.
Whether you are trying to figure this out on your own or you have a team you're working with, I can help you find focus and implement the changes in a way that works with your parenting style and family dynamics.
